Welsh Pillared Blue Slate Walling has cuts edges to each piece with a finished decorative face. It is made in large sized block with various lengths between 100-500mm and varying heights between 30-180mm.
Welsh Pillared Blue Slate Walling was formed 500 million years ago in the earth’s crust, it is made of strong defined splitting planes that’s can be worked by hand to produce building products that will last a life time. This format of walling is hand selected from the new spoil heaps of the Cwt-y-Bugail Quarry, near Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales.
Welsh slate absorbs less than 0.3% of water and has a high resistance to acid and alkali that helps keep its natural colour even in UV light, it is non-combustible and compatible with all other building materials.
Ideal for cladding existing blockwork for new builds its 100mm approx bed width makes it a robust and strong to withstand the harshest environment.
